Cities like animals and fruits

At least the sewage treatment plant is under the tail. Right where
its suppose to be. What do you think of this as future landscape
architects? What would you tell the government and people?

  1. The giraffe's gangly shape evolved (or was designed) so the animal could feed on the leaves of tall trees, where competition was minimal. The form of cities, too, should be a response to their environment and their culture. I seriously doubt that the form of a giraffe, or a pineapple, or a rhino has any relation to the way a city should function. Would the average Lost Boy of Sudan know that he was living in the tail of a giraffe? Unless the Sudanese will be regularly commuting to the moon and taking advantage of the views that that might offer, the arbitrary form of the city will only be recognized by its inefficiency.

Call Michael Eisner...Sudan would be a prime location for Afro-Disney.

  3. I agree with Rob...
Ok, not every day we hear about a $10BN for a country that can relocate and design its regional capitol. I'll say what’s next, after the city grows, can you propose a logical urban design theme that could be integrated with that animal...
    Good luck Mr. Eisner...
